Dallas Cowboys wide receiver George Pickens faces uncertainty for the Week 8 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. Sports Illustrated reported that Pickens is listed as questionable on the team's injury report with both a shoulder injury and a hamstring issue. The receiver has dealt with the shoulder problem for much of the season, but the hamstring concern has limited him in practice for three consecutive days.

Pickens remains a key part of the offense despite these health setbacks, having appeared in all seven games played so far this year. Through the first half of the regular season, he has recorded 37 receptions, 485 yards, and two touchdowns. The Cowboys also listed defensive tackle Kenny Clark as questionable with a back injury, while linebacker Dee Winters and return specialist KaVontae Turpin are ruled out for Sunday.

Fantasy impact

A questionable designation means Pickens could see reduced snaps or be held out entirely if he cannot practice effectively before the game. His absence would force the Cowboys to rely on other receivers to generate offense against the Cardinals defense. If he plays, the lingering hamstring issue may limit his route running and deep-threat capability compared to his usual output.

What to do

Start George Pickens as a WR2 only if he is active, but have a backup plan ready for Sunday. His season production shows he is still a viable option, yet the risk of him being limited or missing the game entirely is real given the injury status.

If Pickens is ruled out, look to his backup targets for increased usage in the passing game. The Cowboys offense will need to find other ways to move the ball without their primary receiver if he cannot go against Arizona at AT&T Stadium.
