SportCrow (sportcrow.com) is operated by Scoreline Ventures, LLC, a Florida limited liability company based in Bradenton, Florida, USA ("SportCrow", "we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you use the site, why, and the choices you have. It applies to sportcrow.com and its subdomains.
The short version
- You can read news, projections and the community without an account. We don't run advertising trackers or third-party analytics.
- We count visits with our own privacy-friendly analytics: no cookies, no IP addresses stored, nothing shared.
- An account needs a username, an email address and a password, or a Google account. We don't ask for your real name.
- If you subscribe to Pro, our payment processor handles your card. We never see or store card numbers.
- Questions you ask the Crow are sent to an AI provider to generate the answer.
- We don't sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
What we collect
Account information. Your username, your email address, a hashed password and an optional profile picture. Our authentication provider, Clerk, stores these for us. We use your email address to verify your account, to help you get back into it and to contact you about your account or subscription. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with Clerk. You still choose a username, your name isn't shown on SportCrow, and your Google picture becomes your avatar until you change it.
Subscription and payment information. When you subscribe to SportCrow Pro, checkout is handled by Clerk Billing and Stripe. They collect your payment details, billing name, email and billing address as needed to charge you. A free trial needs no payment details. We receive your plan, its status, whether you're in a trial, and renewal or end dates. We never receive your full card number.
Content you post. Forum threads, replies, votes, your public profile and anything else you choose to publish in the community. Community content is public: anyone can read it and search engines may index it.
Ask the Crow. The questions you ask and the Crow's answers are stored with your account so you can see your conversation history, and so we can enforce daily question limits. To answer, the question and the relevant fantasy data are sent to Anthropic, which provides the AI model. Don't include personal or sensitive information in your questions.
Preferences. Settings such as measurement units (imperial or metric) and display theme.
Technical information. Like most websites, our servers and hosting provider receive your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time of each request. We use it to deliver the site, protect it from abuse (for example, rate limits) and fix problems. These logs are kept for a limited time.
Usage analytics. To understand which pages and features people use, we run Umami, an open-source analytics tool, on our own servers (no third party receives the data). It records the pages you view, which site referred you, your browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language and approximate location (country and city, worked out from your IP address, which is not stored), and how you use the site: the links and buttons you click, the filters and tools you use, whether you read an article to the end, page load times, and errors you run into (for example a broken link or a failed request). Each visit is also labeled as logged out, free or Pro, never with your name, username or email. We don't record what you type, except a search that finds nothing, which we keep (shortened) so we can add what people look for. It uses no cookies and doesn't follow you across other sites. Visits are grouped using a value derived from your browser details that changes regularly, so we see aggregate trends rather than a profile of you. If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal, we don't record your visits at all.
Problem reports. If you use "Report a problem" on a page, we keep what you wrote and which page it was about, and, if you're signed in, which account sent it, so we can fix it. Don't include personal information you don't want us to have.
Session recordings. For a share of visits (about one in five), the same Umami installation also records how the page was used, so we can see where the site is confusing or broken: the page's layout and text, scrolling, mouse movement, taps and clicks. Anything typed into a form field is masked and never recorded, your account menu is hidden, and we never record the sign-in and sign-up pages, your account page, Ask the Crow conversations, writing or editing a post, member profiles or the staff area. Recordings aren't linked to your name or account, stay on our own servers, are watched only by the SportCrow team, and are deleted after 30 days. If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal, nothing is recorded.
Cookies and similar storage
We use a small number of cookies, all needed for the site to work:
- Sign-in cookies set by Clerk keep you signed in and protect your session.
- Preference cookies remember choices such as your display theme.
- Short-lived notice cookies carry one-time messages between pages (for example, "Settings saved", or that you just created an account so our analytics can count the sign-up) and expire within ten minutes.
Some tools may also save your settings in your browser's local storage. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, but you won't be able to stay signed in.
How we use information
- To run the site: provide your account, subscription, community and the Crow.
- To keep it safe: prevent spam, fraud, abuse and unauthorized access, and enforce our Terms of Use.
- To improve it: understand what's working and fix what isn't.
- To communicate with you about your account or subscription, using the email address on your account.
- To meet legal obligations.
Who we share information with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run SportCrow, and only as needed for that purpose:

- Stripe for payment processing.
- Railway for hosting, content delivery and our database.
- Anthropic for generating Ask the Crow answers.
We may also disclose information if required by law or legal process, to protect the rights, property or safety of SportCrow, our users or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets (in which case this policy continues to apply to your information).
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How long we keep it
Session recordings are deleted after 30 days. We keep account information and your content for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period. We may keep some information where we need it for legal, tax, accounting or security reasons. Posts you published in public threads may remain visible without your username so that discussions stay readable.
