At Lumen Field on Monday night, Chicago Bears opponents will face healthy Seattle Seahawks backs Zach Charbonnet and Jadarian Price. Per ESPN, neither player carries a game designation, which confirms their availability for the upcoming matchup. Mike Macdonald, the head coach, stated that Charbonnet, who tore his left ACL during the divisional round of the playoffs, will debut in 2026.
While Charbonnet is set to go, the status of rookie first-round pick Jadarian Price involves a roster transaction. Although a chest injury caused Price to miss the last four games, he recently resumed full practice participation. "We've got some things going on roster-wise that we're working through right now, but we have a plan for Zach," Macdonald said. Activation would require clearing a spot on the 53-man roster, leaving his actual playing time in flux.
Fantasy impact
On Oct. 22, the team activated Charbonnet from the physically unable to perform list, marking his return to the backfield. With Price potentially inactive due to roster mechanics rather than health, the Seahawks may rely on other backs if Price does not play. While Charbonnet recovered and Price remained on injured reserve, George Holani and Emanuel Wilson led Seattle's backfield.
Macdonald avoided confirming Seattle's activation of Price this week, citing the complexity involved in such a roster move. Regarding the potential roster adjustment, Macdonald remarked, "We'll see if that's what we do." If Price does not play, his fantasy value remains zero despite being healthy, while Charbonnet becomes a viable option in deeper leagues.
What to do
Start Zach Charbonnet as a flex in deep leagues, but treat him as a low-end option until his snap share is confirmed. He returns from a long injury layoff and faces a Bears defense that may be vulnerable, but his workload is unproven this season.
Monitor the Seahawks' final roster transaction before kickoff to determine if Jadarian Price actually plays. If Price is not activated, Charbonnet's role expands significantly, but if both are active, they will likely split carries with Wilson and Holani.
